* Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
* Provide more complex or nonstandard service operations. May sometimes act as a first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area.
* Serve as a work leader of day-to-day operations for a store department.
* Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention. Responsibilities may include processing cases, dealing with complex queries, and investigating and resolving customer problems.
* Provide advanced product/service information and respond to basic customer questions about the product/service.
* Make calls (by telephone or in person) to allocated customers to maintain and strengthen existing relationships. Act as a first point of contact for resolving customer queries and complaints.
* Carry out a range of inventory-control management activities using existing procedures.
* Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
* Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
